Google Maps in the Classroom
You may use Google Maps to help you get from place to place but you may not realize that Google Maps has a wide array of uses for the classroom. Google recently launched the Google Maps Gallery that houses maps ranging from World Climate Change since 1910 to the Saturation of the Eight Largest Fast Food Chains in the US. There are countless ways to use the maps that have already been created in the map gallery. Take a peek at the Google Maps Gallery and find a map that might be useful for your classroom!
Also, from virtual field trips to showing 3D models of important landmarks, Google Maps is a great resource for showing students parts of the world that they might otherwise not get to see. Here are some resources that will help you get started using other parts of Google Maps in your classroom!
